The studios provide space for up to 40 tenants including artists, painters, illustrators, sculptors, designers, furniture makers, photographers, carpenters, metal workers, fabricators, and more.
Some of the artists are Andy Good, Aaron Higginbottom, Ralph Sanon, and Gillian Christy Preston. Andy Good is a blacksmith. Aaron Higginbottom and Ralph Sanon are apparel entrepreneurs who work in The Creative Studio. Gillian Christy Preston does sculptures. In 2019, the building went up for sale for 3.5 million dollars.
The building has 26,000 square feet of rental space. HSS contributes to the beauty and culture of the Boston community through services, experience, and artwork. Humphreys Street is important to the community because it has so many studios for artists and helps people.
