After more than 40 years of advocacy by members of the community, the Boston Landmarks Commission is happy to announce that the Highland Park Architectural Conservation District has officially been designated as the City’s tenth historic district!
This district is distinct from other historic districts. Highland Park’s regulations are designed by and for the community to protect and enhance the history and culture of the neighborhood’s diverse residents and business owners.
On Friday, July 15, beginning at 3:30, please join the Boston Preservation Alliance, Mayor Michelle Wu 吳弭, City Councilor Tania Fernandes Anderson, the Boston Landmarks Commission and members of the community to celebrate this momentous designation!
Come learn about what it means to live and work in this special district. There will be ice cream, live music, giveaways and so much more!
We’ll see you there!
