Humphreys Street Studios, Uphams Corner
In 2002, Humphreys Street Studios (HSS) was founded by Joseph Wheelwright and Gneal Widett. The building has 26,000 square feet of rental space. It has a courtyard and a backyard. The studio provides a workspace for a diverse community of up to 40 tenants, including fine artists. My favorite part about HSS was The Creative Studio (TCS) sportswear store. TCS Sportswear store is a customized apparel company focused on meeting the individual needs of its customers. I liked the TCS Sportswear store because of its designs. They had cool stuff that they put on the shirts and all the other stuff.
HSS used to be a dry cleaners called Daloz Cleansing Works in 1933, owned by the Daloz family. In 2019 the HSS building went up for sale for up to $3.5 Million. In 2021 HSS contributes to the beauty and culture of the Boston community through services, experiences, and artwork.
